Shackleford draws its name from Shackleford Banks. Part of North Carolina’s famed Outer Banks, this small island is famous for its wild horses that have roamed the beach for centuries. The area has also become a popular campsite for adventurous tourists. This untamed paradise seemed like a fitting namesake for our warm and rich wood fragrance.
Tybee Island, off the coast of Georgia and very near Savannah, is known for its lack of pretense. This is an island where people enjoy themselves, plain and simple. These days, its shores are lined with family cottages and friendly faces. But during the Industrial Revolution, Tybee developed a reputation for its clean salt air, making it a top destination for city dwellers looking for a respite from the smog at home. That’s why the F&R scent that we’ve dubbed “clean” feels like a perfect fit for the name “Tybee.” It’s fresh, clean and bright – just like its namesake.
This cologne gets its name from Hatteras Island, a long thin island that stretches for nearly 50 miles. Known as a sports paradise, the island is home to gorgeous beaches, and its marlin-filled waters are perfect for sport fishing. Windsurfing and kiteboarding are also popular pastimes on Hatteras. This lively location feels American to its core, and it’s why we chose to name our classic and sporty fragrance in its honor.
Initially released as our first limited reserve offering, Clearwater started with our discovery of Madagascan Geranium. The flower grown off the coast of Southern Africa has a rich, green fragrance. But unlike its Egyptian and North American cousins, the Madagascan variety has a bold, masculine quality that makes it a perfect centerpiece for a modern man’s cologne.
Notes of fresh water and oakmoss are complemented with wood and clean citrus. The resulting fragrance reminds us of the Clearwater River in Washington state, rushing from the Olympic Mountains toward the sea.
Inspired by the grasslands of Wyoming, this Limited Reserve fragrance opens with the dry and woody citrus notes of petitgrain which open to reveal fresh green clover, accented with the complexities of cannabis flower..
Sterling is our homage to the rich and complex fragrance that is tobacco. The aromatic blend opens with warm and sweet tobacco, which gives way to smooth leather and is completed with notes of dark amber and vanilla. The resulting fragrance is assertive but not aggressive, possessing masculinity without machismo.
Like its namesake, the fragrance of Palmetto is both warm and welcoming while carrying an air of mystery. The clean and citrusy top notes give way to pink pepper spice and magnolia flower, complemented with lingering notes of incense and cedar. This intricate fragrance is ideal as a Spring and Summer scent, but with its approachable complexity, it may just become your new year-round signature cologne.
The cologne opens with a deep blend of Cedarwood and Mahogany, which is offset with clean and bright notes of neroli, bergamot, jasmine and amber. The result is a fresh and inviting fragrance that is somehow also sturdy and complex.
Mahana is inspired by the hike to Papakolea, a green sand beach near the Southern-most point of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our homage to this amazing place is a celebration of fresh air, verdant hills, and driftwood. With notes of Pomelo, Coriander and fresh green leaves, Mahana is clean, light and remarkably approachable. Perhaps our freshest cologne to date, the fragrance feels crisp and pure, like a cool breeze on even the warmest of days.
