SOLID FRAGRANCE: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS SOLID FRAGRANCE?
Our solid cologne is a wax-based fragrance that is long-lasting and designed not to overpower. It comes in a small, shatterproof container and can go anywhere. Just swipe your fingers across the wax to apply a small amount to your wrists and neck and you’re ready to go!
HOW DOES SOLID FRAGRANCE COMPARE TO SPRAY FRAGRANCE?
When you put on solid cologne, you’re in control of the fragrance level. You swipe on just a little bit, and you can always add more. You’re not going to overwhelm the elevator, your date or your coworkers with an overpowering smell. Instead, you’ll have a long-lasting steady-wearing fragrance for you and those closest to you.
Since it's solid, you can take it on an airplane. You don't have to worry about a bottle shattering and the smell overtaking the room.
The cost per use of Fulton and Roark’s solid cologne is about the same as what you would pay for spray cologne at a finer men’s store. It’s highly-concentrated, so you can apply less to get the same effect as spray. Daily users get four months of use on average; regular users get seven months on average.
IS THE SCENT OVERPOWERING?
With solid cologne, you’ll never be that guy. You’ll get compliments, but only from people who should be noticing your scent, like someone giving you a hug. People near you won’t notice if you’re discreetly applying solid cologne in your cubicle or the locker room.
HOW DO I CARRY IT AROUND?
Our packaging is designed to fit discreetly in the pocket of a slim cut pant. The top of our metal container rotates open and closes with a snap – you’ll never lose the top of your cologne! The container has smooth angles so it won’t leave an obvious imprint in your pocket. The case is very travel-friendly and fits perfectly in any bag or briefcase.
WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE ON MY SKIN?
Once you apply it, you shouldn’t notice it anymore! Our formula is non-comedogenic, meaning it sits on top of your skin and doesn’t sink into your pores. All of our fragrances are IFRA-certified: we conform to their rules about what’s safe for your skin and for the planet. If you haven’t experienced skin irritation before with grooming products, you shouldn’t have problems with ours.
HOW DO I GET IT OFF?
It lasts about 4-8 hours and is designed to wear off over time. In the heat or in Summer months, you will likely need to reapply more often. If you take a shower, it will dissipate with soap and water. If you wanted to take it off, a damp washcloth works perfectly.
IF IT'S WAX, WILL IT MELT?
Solid cologne can go anywhere you do. If you don’t want to be locked in your car in Texas in the summer, your cologne doesn’t either. That is to say, it will melt with intense heat! If you leave your cologne on a flat surface and it melts, keep it upright and it will reconstitute in a cooler place.
