The Story of Ramble

When we developed Ramble, we wanted to create a scent that evoked an atmosphere completely different from any fragrance we had ever offered before. Historically, we have aimed to create fragrances that while complex, still offered some ingredients that many discerning wearers could identify with relative ease: sandalwood, vetiver, pink peppercorn, etc.

With Ramble, we wanted to change things up and offer a scent that was complex enough to be immediately attractive, but difficult for its wearer to easily identify any of the key ingredients. While such a fragrance is relatively easy to achieve with synthetics, we wanted to focus on ingredients from the  Naturals Together program, which focuses on plant-based materials in a way that is both environmentally responsible and respectful to the people who grow and harvest them.

The juxtaposition of natural ingredients and the resulting cosmopolitan fragrance inspired us to name the fragrance Ramble, after a section of Central Park that has been designated a "forever wild" section of the park, which prevents any further development in the area.

The planners of Central Park knew that despite all the appeal that comes from human progress, the people of New York would forever crave the raw wonder that comes with nature.

Ramble opens with the warm and inviting notes of Balsam fir needles that intermingle with the earthy and mossy notes of Oakmoss and Bamboo leaf to create an accord that evokes the smell of a lush forest. The exotic fragrance of Elemi is interwoven through the scent, with notes of pepper, spice, and lemon to add complexity and freshness. The result is a fragrance that is both fresh and refined.
