Five ways to use our Formula 5 Hair and Body Oil
If you follow the beauty and grooming world, you have likely noticed that hair, beard, and body oils are all having quite a moment. There's a good reason for it too, a high-quality oil can do wonders for your hair, beard, and skin. However, they can also be a little intimidating for some. How much should you use? How often? Can something that works so well for your hair actually also be good for your skin? Here are the best ways to use our Formula 5 Oil, with a few extra tips thrown in:
HAIR OIL
Looking for healthy, moisturized hair with a deep natural shine? A few drops of Formula 5 spread evenly through towel-dry hair will knock down flyaways. The combination of oils and extracts will smooth each hair from the follicle to the tip, providing healthy moisture and nutrients.
SCALP MOISTURIZER
As a culture, we often tend to clean ourselves more than is good for us. The result is often (among other things) a dry, itchy scalp resulting from removing too much of the natural oil from the surface of your skin. Our Formula 5 Oil helps replenish your healthy oils and protect against cold and dry weather that can also lead to scalp irritation. Because of its unique formula, it nourishes and soothes your scalp without leaving you with a greasy look.
After showering and towel drying your hair, apply a few drops of oil to your fingertips and massage into your scalp, starting at the crown of your head and working outward. Remember to use sparingly; a little goes a long way!
DRY SKIN TREATMENT
When your skin is seriously dry, put down the lotion, which is formulated for keeping healthy skin moisturized, and reach for something stronger. Formula 5 penetrates deep into the layers of the skin, helping to lock in moisture and keep other not-so-good elements out, such as dirt and pollution. Remember, just a little bit goes a long way, so start with a pea-sized amount of oil to help soothe and restore any problem dry spots, ideally immediately after toweling off from the bath or shower.
SHAVE OIL
If you have sensitive skin, a good oil can make shaving all the easier by softening both your skin and your scruff. Additionally, the oil provides even more lubrication for your razor than using shave cream alone. The result is a smoother shave with less irritation. Formula 5 spreads on evenly, smells great and leaves your face feeling healthy and hydrated post-shave.
Start with your face already wet with warm water. Add a couple of drops to your fingertips, and spread evenly across your stubble. If you prefer to shave with shaving cream as well, apply a thin layer of shaving cream or gel and commence shaving. If you prefer shave oil alone, splash a small amount of warm water on your face before shaving. After shaving, rinse your face well before patting dry, and continuing with your post-shave routine.
BEARD OIL
